Full Job Description

We are looking for a new Team lead for Configuration Management for Space Systems, within Airbus Defence & Space. You will join an international, diverse and empowered entity working on Configuration, Data Management, PMT, etc. for the Space Systems perimeter, supporting some of Airbus Defence & Space's biggest Space & Satellite manufacturing projects, notably OneSat, Skynet & ESA's Galileo.

How will you contribute to the team…

  • You will manage your team of configuration managers and document controllers, including team member's development and growth

  • You'll ensure delivery of all commitments taken for Configuration Management, with project & customer satisfaction.

  • Support with business proposals and bids, providing costing of activities

  • You will manage some of our subcontracting activities, ensuring delivery against complex projects

  • You will take ownership of your part of the data transformation plan to move towards the vision of end-to-end digital data flow.

    Demonstrable experience in configuration management and Product Life Management (PLM) within a complex, design for manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in management of people & projects with strong integration, forward thinking and leadership skills,

  • Experience of supporting project proposals and costings associated

  • Experience of using Product Life Management (PLM) tools. We use Windchill, and experience of this tool would be an advantage., This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.
