Full Job Description

Our Assistant Accountant will work closely with the Finance Manager to assist with accounting activity as related to their location. This includes support in the preparation of monthly management reporting, balance sheet governance and for ensuring Group Accounting Policies and Procedures are adhered to, with appropriate supporting documentation prepared as required.

What We Are Looking For

Some of the Key Accountabilities:

  • Monthly Reporting

  • + Ensure performance of all designated month-end closing routines in the required timeframe.
  • Balance Sheet Governance

  • + Ensure full reconciliation of designated balance sheet accounts for all assigned legal entities, prior to monthly financial close as directed by the Finance Manager.
    + Assist with any other designated tasks to ensure good balance sheet governance.
  • Recurring Tasks

  • + Assist with processing / allocating bank and cash postings.
    + Support AP function, liaising with the central AP team and assist where required.
    + Assist with cash management and forecasting requirements, liaising with Corporate Treasury to provide information as required.
    + Support local invoicing processes and credit control activities to drive improvement of cash collection and DSO KPI's.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in the delivery of statutory audit information to the Group Finance team.

  • Ensure all processes, relevant to your role, within our Global Business Management System are followed.

  • Help drive a consistent global approach to optimise the use and reporting of the existing ERP System (AX12) and support the implementation of new systems and tools as directed by management.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Flexible and adaptable and able to support and interface with people at all levels.

  • An enthusiastic self-starter


  • Preferred
  • Experience in a similar role

  • Experience in an oil & gas service company

  • Experience in using Microsoft AX Dynamics or similar accounting software.
