Full Job Description

The role is to provide both support to the current Management Accounts team on varied administrative and reporting tasks along with independent responsibility and ownership of key areas of the business. The role will require working with company management to help them make upper level management decisions, using financial information to inform business strategy.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Management account team lead on the full purchase order process - with support from the purchase ledger team.

Full Ownership and reporting of the subcontractor usage across all areas of Abbey to include subcontractor margin analysis. A full monthly reconciliation along with the processing of accurate accruals to support the MA team month end reporting.

Support the MA team in the Abbey fuel process including procurement, data collation and analysis and monthly reconciliations and cost allocations.

Revenue reconciliation support to MA team, running revenue reports and analysing against invoiced revenue on a weekly basis.

Commence and develop full ownership and responsibility for own P&L for different business units across Abbey, including full weekly P&L & KPI reporting and full month end ownership in a timely and accurate manner.

Ensure full and detailed reconciliations are completed monthly on all key areas of revenue and spend across the responsible business as above.

Provide weekly and monthly variance analysis of cost and KPI's against the budget.

Challenge the business on its operational and finance performance.

Continually review and challenge spend across the business.

Support in the annual budget process and subsequent re-forecast as required by the business.

Support other areas of the business in meeting the requirements of external stakeholders (e.g. auditors, funders, investors)

· AAT Level 2 minimum

· 1 Year office experience in a finance role

· Desire to learn and develop in the role with full support.

· Ability to work & develop to a high level of detail and accuracy

· Good Excel skills

· Good communication skills (both written and verbal) including ability to converse with people from a non-finance background

· Flexible approach and ability to meet demanding deadlines

· Hands on / Can do approach,

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
