Full Job Description

The successful apprentice will work collaboratively with the Housing Management and Asset Management teams to provide an efficient and effective customer- focused service and to provide guidance through the lettings process. In addition, you will attend college to complete the Business Administrator apprenticeship one day per week.,

  • To undertake and complete a level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship


  • Work within the Lettings team to learn on the job knowledge and to gain the appropriate skills to become a fully-fledged Lettings Assistant by working with the Lettings Officers to:
  • Undertake the lettings of all Saffron's properties

  • Provide advice and assistance for housing applicants and tenants seeking to exchange properties

  • Ensure that the letting process is undertaken accurately and legally

    Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard

  • Level 2 Functional Skills in English

  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths, A position may be available for the right candidate following successful completion of the apprenticeship. The business is looking for somebody who wants to develop and gain a full-time position following their apprenticeship with options for career progression within Saffron., Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Team working, Interest in office- working, Excellent interpersonal skills, Methodical, Able to work independently, Friendly and polite, Empathetic and professional, Positive and enthusiastic, Energetic, GCSE or equivalent English and Maths (Grade 4/ C (L2 Functional Skills)) Desired, This role involves some work on the telephone where you may encounter customers who are dissatisfied with the service they are receiving. You will need to feel comfortable speaking with customers and tenants. Level 2 Functional Skills in English & Maths or GCSE Grade 4/ C is desirable. Apprentices who do not have these grades will be expected to attend additional Functional Skills sessions- these may fall on a separate day to the usual college delivery. Applicants who are currently undertaking or sitting GCSEs should include their predicted grades on their application. If successful for this position, you will be offered a conditional place on the apprenticeship, subject to you meeting the entry requirements listed above. You will receive 23 days holiday plus additional 3½ days to be taken at a time specified by Saffron. This is on a pro-rata basis for employees who join during the holiday year which runs from 1st January to 31st December. Saffron
