Full Job Description

Early Years Wales is a childcare and early years charity that works across Wales. They have over 1,600 members and are a leading voice in the early years landscape. They provide support to our member organisations including policy support, funding information and help with their business planning and structures. They have an extensive programme of training and learning for people working in the childcare and early years sector.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and committed business administrator to support their team. As a leading voice in the childcare sector, the work is varied and the administrator would have opportunities to develop wider skills including marketing and communications, childcare specific learning, and working in partnership with other third-sector organisations childcare providers, and the Welsh Government. The leadership team value the support from the administrators in the organisation and your contribution will help with the practical day-day work that the organisation does.

Key Duties
General office administration duties including resources checking, post in/out, and daily monitoring of information email account.
Supporting the finance team with payment processes, consistency checking, and tasks related to Early Years Wales Finance controls.
Provide administration and support to the Board, including pre and post meeting communications.
Update Companies House and the Charity Commission services.
Regularly check HR system to ensure up to date submissions and alert Head of Finance / CEO where any system gaps are identified.
Provide administrative support to Leadership team for projects and events.
Provide administrative support to the Membership and Website Administrator.
Respond to member emails, telephone calls and enquiries signposting to other colleagues for further information and support.

5 GCSE passes (Grade A-C)
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
Ability to work independently and use your initiative.
Ability to work alone and as part of a team
Ability to work with MS Office, MS Teams, Sharepoint and other IT applications.
Desirable Criteria
The ability to communicate in Welsh.
An interest in social media and / or digital marketing for organisations.
An interest in working within brand guidelines and preparing branding materials.
Finance and financial processes.
An interest in childcare and the early years of childhood.
