Title: Environment, Health & Safety Advisor

We are currently recruiting for an Environment, Health & Safety Advisor to support the implementation of the Environmental, Health & Safety strategy at Muller, Yogurts and Desserts. You will be responsible for ensuring objectives and targets are achieved such as being a net zero business by 2050, using 100% recyclable materials by 2050, 30% reduction in water brought onto our sites by 2030 and reducing our overall Health, Safety and Environmental risks and impact.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Ensuring that our organisation adheres to the environmental sustainability standards and practices.


• Responsible for understanding, implementing and continuously improving the environment (14001) and sustainability management systems and sharing best practice across the organisation.


• Lead the deployment of the sustainability action plan, with a focus on the planet pillar (waste, water and energy).


• Reporting, checking and validating environmental data using internal trackers and software such as Carbon Desktop to provide insight into trends.


• Using operational excellence methodology, such as sustainability roadmaps, problem solving, process flow mapping, 7 wastes, assessment and risk and impacts assessment, you will proactively identify and implement solutions to reduce our risks and impacts to the environment.


• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation with our colleagues to collectively achieve our environmental sustainability goals and targets.


• Collaborating with internal & external stakeholders to investigate common opportunities for carbon, waste, and water reductions.


• Coaching and encouraging stakeholders to drive behavioural change regarding energy efficiency, waste management, and environmental impacts and aspects.


• Acknowledge the identification or poor environmental practices within our business.
  
  Positive can-do attitude and a passion for environmental and sustainability work.


• Experience within an operational excellence environment with knowledge of continual improvement methodology.



• Strong data analysis skills,


• Confident with interpreting results to identify key areas and present plans to meet KPIs.


• Ability to work autonomously and as part of team.


• Ability to build strong working relationships.


• Excellent communication and presentation skills.


• Experienced in Project Management.


• Championing new initiatives with a proactive mindset.


Desirable

• Level 3 qualification or higher within an Environmental or safety discipline (or commitment to complete whilst in role).


• Experience within a food manufacturing or other FMCG organisation.
