Full Job Description

The Bloomsbury Theatre and Studio is looking for a multi skilled technician to join the team and work in our recently refurbished 541 seat Theatre and 70 seat studio.
You will be working within the technical department on a wide variety of commercial shows such as stand-up comedy, dance, drama, opera and our family Christmas show.

You will also be working with Students' Union UCL arts societies to help put on their shows and train student users in technical skills.This role will entail working regular evenings and weekends. Manual handling is required to carry out this role. Training will be provided.

We are looking for candidates who have the following experience and skills:

  • Worked as a technician in a commercial venue.

  • Good working knowledge of at least one area of the following: Lighting, Sound, Video, and Rigging.

  • A good working knowledge of health and safety and its application in the theatrical environment .

  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
