Full Job Description
- Providing technical and sustainability advice and conduct structural design calculations for both new and existing projects.
- Offering technical and sustainability advice for projects with specified rival products/systems.
- Managing projects through to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications and effective utilisation of products by engineers and contractors.
- Proactively engage and develop a network of key contacts to ensure a pipeline of new business opportunities, including engineers, architects, and main contractors
- Attending Client and site visits across the UK.
This newly created role requires an experienced Structural Engineer with a proven track record in both design and business development, preferably with the construction sector. - Degree qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- Detailed knowledge and experience in the analysis and design of structural steelwork, preferably gained within consulting engineering or steelwork contractor environments.
- Proficiency in industry-standard structural steelwork software packages.
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of sustainability in the construction industry.
- Previous experience with the design or procurement of projects would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with standard IT software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Engaging with engineers and steelwork contractors across the UK, the ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of technical, commercial, and sustainability aspects of building projects, with expertise in structural steelwork design and analysis.,
