For over 150 years The Royal Albert Hall has been the home of breathtaking moments and lasting memories, for everyone.

You will be joining the Hall at an exceptionally exciting time: the start of the BBC Proms, the world's greatest classical music festival. The Proms season takes place every summer and you will begin your Hall journey by playing an essential role in bringing this year's fantastic programme of events to our devoted audiences. Then, once we say a fond farewell to the Proms for another year, you will experience many other exciting shows we have coming up such as our Films in Concert series, rock and pop artists and our beloved Christmas series: Carols at the Hall.

  • Permanent contract - 60 hours per month minimum, availability required Friday evening to Sunday inclusive.

  • Permanent contract - 80 hours per month minimum, availability required Monday to Friday inclusive.

  • Fixed- Term contract (3 months) - 60 hours per month minimum, availability required Friday evening to Sunday inclusive.

  • Permanent contract (3 months)- 80 hours per month minimum, availability required Monday to Friday inclusive.


  • We will ask you to specify both in the cover letter of your application and during your interview, which of these contracts you would prefer.

    Interview and training

    Group interviews will take place in the week commencing 03/06/2024 2024.

    Successful candidates will also be required to attend three mandatory daytime onsite training sessions on 01/07/2024, 05/07/2024 and 12/07/2024. In addition, you will need to be available between 05/07/2024 to 31/07/2024 complete five shadow shifts.

    If successful, July will be a training month and your full contractual hours of either 60 or 80 per month will begin from August.
