Full Job Description

  • As part of advance engineering teams develop refrigeration and cooling system architectures.


  • As a specialist in refrigeration and thermal fluids system, provide technical support across the wider engineering teams and vehicle programmes.


  • Assist and contribute the generation of system level targets and verification plans that are driven by Customer, Function Requirements and system Failure Modes.


  • To achieve correct functional modes, efficiency and performance targets; the person in this role must take responsibility for the thermal mechanical and electrical system integration with full alignment with all system and component interfaces.


  • The use of Systems Engineering discipline as directed by the Core engineering group.


  • Develop and own refrigeration system Development and Validation plan (DVP)


  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with thermal fluid systems.

    Experience and knowledge in cooling system thermodynamics.

  • Experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, component and systems integration, system verification and validation.

  • Requirements Management (eg. Dassault systems, Magic, Xray)

  • Analytical and problem solving skills using tools (eg. DFMEA, 8D)

  • Experience using network analysis tools for vehicle Validation (eg. . Canalyzer, INCA, Ipetronik)

  • Track record as an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills
