Full Job Description

We are looking for a Production Team Leader who can use their attributes & skills to effectively lead and support our Technical Team in achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and performance of our production team, with the main focus to increase productivity and maintain it at the highest level, whilst developing skills of all team members.

Responsibilities:

· Distribution of work and splitting tasks to drive productivity

· Troubleshooting problems during the production process to get the Technicians up and running again as quickly as possible

· Continuously seeking opportunities to optimise processes, streamline workflows, implement best practices, and drive operational excellence

· Communicate expectations across the team to meet deadlines, whilst maintaining quality standards

· Liaising with Production Control Manager with regard to deliveries, priorities and overdue orders issues

· Finding solutions and strategically planning are essential processes for setting the direction and priorities for your team

· Monitor and identify production functions and reporting systems, work allocation, priorities, failures and errors (scrap and rework), training and provision of adequate cover

· Daily control supervision, including downtime & shortages

· Technicians personal reviews

· Establishing critical skill requirements, arranging training and support

· Induction/On-boarding of new staff and holiday bookings

· Dealing with staff performance, absence issues and team collaboration. Liaising with management with any disciplinary concerns

· Workspace security and health and safety standards supervision

· Supervision of lean manufacturing/5S methods and standards within the Production areas

· Cost of Sales (COS)

· Downtime Performance

· 5S standards

· Customer Complaints

· Training and Skills performance

· Proven Team Leader experience within a manufacturing environment

· Starting salary £25,000.00 - £28,000.00 paid monthly in arrears. (Dependant on experience)

· Performance-related bonus paid after probationary period successful and no absence. It is based on agreed targets, 1% of the share scheme if performance target of 2 points is reached on Production Control tab of the Performance Report Management file

· Holiday: 28 days pa, which includes all bank holiday and Christmas shutdown.

· Potential attendance bonus of up to 1 extra week can be accrued for the following year, if zero absences are posted on a quarterly basis. 1 per quarter plus an extra bonus day if all 4 quarters free of absence

Hours:

· 38 hours per week. Nominal working hours 08.30 to 16.26 Monday to Friday. 20 minutes break each day 12.00 to 12.20
