Full Job Description

The PR Manager will be joining a fast moving marketing team and have a wide scope to influence the profile of the brand across industry, national and local media as well as leading industry analysts. The business is changing and challenging market perception so it's an exciting time to be part of the team managing the public face of the brand. We are establishing an analyst's relations programme, working with key influencers in our market and building new relationships with local media in the cities and regions we serve to craft a new and compelling narrative for the business around edge computing, AI and IoT.,

  • Initiate exciting and innovative PR & Social marketing efforts and campaigns to help promote the brand, that are closely integrated with overall marketing efforts and can help step-change our brand positioning.

  • Work with our PR agency to create content for external communications, including company statements, media pitches, blog posts, press releases, bylined articles, and more.

  • Grow both quality and quantity of share of voice, amongst earned and owned media. Expand media coverage to meet annual targets.

  • Improve media effectiveness reporting in conjunction with our PR agency partner to assess opportunities to improve impact and media engagement.

  • Build and maintain network of media contacts focusing on technology markets, data centre specialist markets as well as national and local UK media.

  • Support the development of corporate initiatives, including ESG and sustainability initiatives.

  • Create and maintain thought leadership content programmes.

  • Build and maintain an industry analyst engagement programme to ensure accurate relevant coverage and understanding within key analyst services.

  • Oversee media and analyst relations training to prepare spokespeople for interviews and speaking engagements.

    Demonstrable experience building strong relationships with target UK media.

  • Experience of PR agency management, budgeting and reporting.

  • Substantial experience building strong relationships and stakeholder engagement, through excellent communication with individuals of varying levels of seniority, spread across different geographies in the UK and where appropriate to constructively challenge.

  • Strong track record delivering and supporting campaigns across earned, owned and paid media.

  • Growing and nurturing a network of strong relationships with leading journalists and analysts, particularly in the UK.

  • Working with and understanding of relevant technology markets, especially data centres, connectivity and cloud infrastructure.

  • Working with and creating engagement around industry analyst firms in the UK and beyond.

  • Running typical press office functions and handling media enquiries.

  • Working alongside senior stakeholders to proactively monitor reputational risk.

  • Formulating an articulate viewpoint on complicated issues, creating a concise and well-written narrative to express this opinion.

  • Writing and copy editing, prioritising messages and adapting style for different voices, audiences and objectives

  • Staying organised and making progress amidst a high volume of complex projects and stakeholders


  • Competencies & Knowledge:
  • Problem solving, creative thinking and flexibility of approach to challenges and opportunities.

  • Resilient, confident and highly organised.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken.

  • Excellent understanding of the components of a B2B news piece, article, feature, op-ed or by-lined comment piece.

  • Knowledge of the technology analysts landscape and service offerings.


  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or qualified by experience

  • PR or journalist certification or qualifications
