Full Job Description

We are searching for a talented and motivated corporate meeting and event manager to organize and lead outstanding and unforgettable events. You will be responsible for every part of corporate event preparations, such as consultations, sourcing venues, contract negotiations, budget management, safety coordination, AV, seating, menu, and travel logistics as well as evaluating success pre and post-event. This position will also oversees an onsite corporate event center.
What You'll Do:
As the Meeting and Event manager, you should be well-organized and possess a sound knowledge of vendor management and project management expertise. Excellent communication and extreme attention to detail skills are vital in this role, as our success depends on fulfilling our employee's unique and tailored meeting and event requirements.

  • Fully understand and execute requirements for each event

  • Plan events within strict financial boundaries and difficult time constraints

  • Secure and source unique venues, meeting spaces, entertainment, and motivational and keynote speakers

  • Research vendors and identify the best options for quality, cost, and policy compliance to fit our program needs

  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms

  • Able to work in an extremely fast-paced and ever-changing environment

  • Manage all internal and external event operations (technology, preparing venue, invitations, AV, marketing, logistics, etc.)

  • Facilitate and coordinate walk-throughs, final venue, and safety checks as well as on-site organization for larger events to ensure everything meets Lubrizol standards

  • Create dynamic presentations and vision boards to present to internal and external customers

  • Oversee events and act quickly to resolve problems or last-minute changes

  • Work across the lines with appropriate teams, Marketing, Creative, Communications, HR, Legal, Procurement, etc. to ensure proper collaborations for the success of the meeting/event

  • Evaluate the event's success, ROI, and savings and maintain detailed reporting

  • Oversee onsite event center for internal and external events

  • Manage virtual events on a Global basis

    Proven experience as a corporate meeting and event manager with at least 3-5 years experience

  • Degree in hospitality management, marketing, public relations, or a relevant field is preferred

  • Project management

  • Perfect English and extra language is a plus (German & Spanish, French)

  • A proven track record of organizing successful events

  • Advanced proficiency in all MS Office products

  • Excellent vendor management skills

  • Extensive hotel and venue contracting and negotiation experience

  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate at all levels of the organization

  • Well-organized with multi-tasking skills

  • Able to handle stress and always remain calm

  • Excellent Problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside of the box is crucial for the success of this position.

  • Travel, Concur, and transportation planning experience

  • Must be able to work well in a team environment and support team initiatives and goals
