Full Job Description

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in keeping our filling and packaging lines running smoothly using your mechanical and electrical skills. You'll perform regular preventative maintenance, handle unexpected breakdowns, and find ways to make our equipment even more reliable. Your goal will be to ensure that everything operates safely, efficiently, and always complies with our pharmaceutical standards. You'll also have the chance to upgrade our equipment and help train other members of our team.
These permanent Maintenance Engineer positions are part of the initial phase of recruitment for an exciting new venture. At Bespak Holmes Chapel, we are investing significantly to expand our capacity to develop and manufacture pMDIs (Asthma Inhalers) with greener propellants to meet evolving sustainability standards in the industry. As a Maintenance Engineer your duties will include:

  • Maintain and repair filling and packing production equipment.

  • Mechanical and electrical work across our manufacturing areas.

  • Optimize equipment performance and ensure safety/GMP compliance.

  • Find solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency.

  • Undertake company training to remain updated on new technology.

  • Document maintenance activities and ensure quality standards.

  • Assist with new equipment installation and qualification.

    Experience and/or qualifications in both mechanical and electrical engineering.

  • Experience in a regulated engineering environment.

  • Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.

  • Strong team player with effective communication and training abilities.

  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems.

  • Demonstrated commitment to health and safety, including risk assessment.

  • Ability to identify own training needs and advise others.

    Bespak are looking for Multiskilled Maintenance Engineers for the Holmes Chapel site, CW4 8BE. The salary for this permanent onsite role is £59,889 plus a discretionary annual bonus. Other benefits you will receive are 25 days leave plus bank holidays, a generous 10% pension contribution, onsite free parking, and medical / dental / health / life insurance.

    Shift Pattern - Rotating 3 shifts pattern:
  • Week 1, Monday to Friday - 2pm to 10pm

  • Week 2, Monday to Friday - 6am to 2pm
