Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the newly formed Bridgend - Inspire 2 Achieve+ project. The project led by Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council and covering the 10 local authorities within the Cardiff Capital Region City Deal, aims to provide support for young people aged 11 - 24 years old who have been identified as facing multiple and complex issues that act as barriers to them engaging with their chosen educational, training or employment pathway.

We are looking to recruit a motivated and experienced member of staff to join the Inspire 2 Achieve+ project team. The successful applicant will proactively engage and maintain relationships with young people at risk of disengagement from school, college and training and with their families more broadly, as appropriate.

Working closely with the Engagement and Progression Coordinator, Early Intervention Locality Manager and external educational establishments the post holder will be based as part of the Central Locality Hub, and as such should have the ability to work both as a team, but also on their own initiative working to support young people in a variety of educational and training settings.

The post may involve a maximum of 4 evenings per week and the occasional weekend work.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.

Criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.

A valid driving licence is requirement for this post.
