BBC Studios Kids & Family is looking for an experienced Development Producer to join the team to deliver creative ideas for unscripted content that is exciting, bold and imaginative for the pre-school and 7-12 audience. The Producer will develop content according to strategy and brief, and supervise different stages of the development process using broad production skills gained with experience in a production environment.

Your main responsibilities will be -

• Develop and write up a selection of creative ideas for the pre-school and 7-12 audience.



• Set up and run brainstorms to generate and/or advance ideas.



• Manage visual development of projects - contact designers/artists, check for availability, negotiate and set up contracts, communicate editorial briefs and feedback, set up a schedule and track progress and deliverables.



• Set up regular catch-ups with key partners and maintain relationships as the main point of contact.



• Contact potential fresh talent to check on new ideas, trends and potential new projects to enter development.



• Oversee shooting/editing of pilots - booking talent, studios, resources, locations and equipment where needed.



• Oversee editorial progress of projects in development alongside Executive Producer / Production Creative Director.

  Proven experience developing ideas for the children's audience.



• Experience of working in content making and an understanding the production process.



• Be proficient in producing presentation/pitch documents using power-point & photoshop.



• Proven experience of working in editorial across projects in development and pitching ideas.
