Creative Team Manager

We're excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a Creative Team Manager to join our Brand & Creative Team.

In this role, you will take pride in protecting our brand visual identity, lead, support and inspire our talented in-house Creative Team and collaborate with our design agencies, to deliver creative excellence in line with our brand, vision and purpose.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of collaborating with stakeholders at all levels and business-wide, a passion for design, exceptional planning ability and strong leadership skills. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team and make a significant impact on the successful future of our brands.

This is a hybrid role, remote working, with a minimum monthly onsite presence in our central Leeds & Bradford offices as well as other times as required.

This role reports to the Brand & Creative Team Lead Senior Manager.

About the role

As well as providing essential and extensive relationship management by working closely and cross functionally with internal teams/ agencies to develop and deliver cohesively branded communications, you will

• Be the lead expert voice of creative design within our business, bringing new thinking and ideas from the external environment into YBS - maintaining a strong up to date vision of design trends (print/ digital/ broadcast/ sonic)


• Be Brand Ambassador for YBS' visual identity including imagery, graphics, styling, video, animation, sonic and tone of voice brand identity, ensuring that it is applied consistently across all the Group communications and evolved in line with business strategy


• Maintain a focus on the improvement of processes, systems, roles and team member capabilities and capacity


• Lead our creative team in ensuring that all work produced is on brand and on brief.


• Lead brand execution by external agencies and manage internal vs external (agency) resources to ensure creative support for business needs


• Oversee the ongoing evolution and maintenance of brand guidelines, tools and assets for consistent brand articulation and delivery


• Lead ideation, provide art and creative direction to Creative Team, agency and business stakeholders
  
  Are you a creative guardian/ brand ambassador with excellent people leadership and stakeholder management skills? If so, we may have the role for you!, With a proven track record in leading, coaching & motivating an in-house studio or creative agency team, what will you bring to the role?



• 
  Excellent stakeholder management skills as a significant proportion of this role is collaborating within and beyond our department to ensure consistency and alignment of our brand look & feel you need to feel very comfortable with liaising with other teams, constructively challenging, influencing and supporting across all levels within the business
  
• Ability to plan, traffic and deliver multiple projects and articulate this via regular reporting and tracking with a commercial consideration for maximum time and budget benefit


• Strong creative skills and the ability to oversee translation of our brands DNA across projects


• Formal design training, with an understanding and passion across current and evolving design channels/ disciplines


• Experience of managing a design project from briefing through to development of concepts and production


• Strong communication and influencing skills


• Have an excellent design sense and attention to detail, which is both creative and commercially aware


• Pro-active and able to show initiative/ ideas to constantly improve YBS group and internal studio processes
