Full Job Description

Playmania Sheffield are looking for someone to join our Kitchen Team on a part time basis. An average of 24 hours a week. Every Monday & Tuesday 9-4.30pm and every other weekend 9-6pm.

Our Cooks are responsible for the running of the kitchen daily, including food preparation, cleaning, running food and pots. This is a very physical job and requires someone who is willing to be on their feet for most of the day and working under pressure in a fast paced environment.

Duties:

- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and meal presentation in the kitchen
- Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards of quality and taste
- Order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels
- Supervise less experienced kitchen staff ie dishwashers
- Monitor food safety practices to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with management to plan and execute special events or themed menus
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment

- Effective communication and leadership abilities
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

· Have excellent awareness & understanding of food allergies and specific dietary requirements

· Participate in CPD training and performance development as required

· Keep appropriate records in accordance with company procedures

· Ensure day to day operations are carried out in accordance within company procedures, ensuring overall standards and quality are maintained

Note: Prior experience as a cook or working in a in a similar role (commercial kitchen) is essential.,
