Full Job Description

We are looking for a communications manager who has what it takes to lead the internal and external communications strategy across the whole of Stagecoach West.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Media enquiries: Manage local media enquiries in line with Stagecoach tone of voice and media guidelines to ensure a clear and consistent response, with support from the Corporate Communications team as necessary. Develop and nurture strong relationships with local and regional media and link with local operations to provide accurate and timely news to the media.

· Manage media opportunities: Actively seek regional opportunities for positive news and business growth with a focus on our communities and stakeholder relationships. Develop a regional media strategy in conjunction with the marketing teams to match business objectives.

· Coordinate regional comms: Act as a critical link between operating companies in the region to ensure a consistent yet localised approach to communication and connect colleagues within the industry.

· Stakeholder newsletter: Develop local and/or regional newsletters suitable to a range of stakeholders from media to B2B partners, local authorities, Government departments and DMOs. Continued relationships with these partners will be essential to maintain positive coverage and future development.

· Customer communication: Support the marketing teams with large scale customer information projects as required.

· Internal communication: Support the dissemination of Stagecoach brand messaging to all employees, creating professional content, considering tone and purpose. Assist operating companies with large scale comms requirements at key times of the year such as major network changes.

· Event support and planning: Support with localised event planning from new service launches to depot open days and media walkarounds. Assist in all public relations matters including media releases and photocalls.

· Sponsorship: Analyse sponsorship opportunities ensuring any proposals align with marketing strategy and can create revenue growth or reputational change.
