Full Job Description

In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our projects within the steel industry. You will use your expertise in SolidWorks to create accurate and detailed CAD models and drawings for customer approval and production purposes. You will also work closely with the sales team to translate their needs into technical specifications and ensure customer satisfaction.,

  • Develop and maintain accurate 3D models and 2D technical drawings utilising SolidWorks.

  • Support the sales team by translating their requirements into technical specifications and creating visuals that aid in the sales process.

  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure designs meet technical specifications and customer requirements.

  • Prepare production packs, drawings, bills of materials, assembly instructions and save files (dxf's) for third parties.

  • Handle communications/ordering with third parties (cutting, punching and drilling contractors).

  • Create high-quality 3D renders to enhance sales presentations and customer understanding.

    Gabitie Group Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Design Draughtsperson to join our team in Wolverhampton., Proven experience working with SolidWorks software.

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within the steel industry.

  • Strong understanding of steel engineering principles and design methodologies.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • The ability to create 3D renders is a beneficial skill, How many years experience do you have working in the steel industry?


  • Experience:
  • SolidWorks: 2 years (required)

    Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays)
