Full Job Description

The Corporate Board is committed to widening participation in learning through the pro-active use of hybrid and distance learning. This activity has been growing steadily over the last twenty years and there is now an opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative person to play an important role in leading the development of this activity. Working closely with the ELearning Development Manager you will play a key role in the designing of new learning objects that support pedagogically sound principles.,

  • Support in the development of interactive learning objects in collaboration with the Instructional Designers and SPF Staff using industry standard software such as Articulate Storyline;

  • Construct pedagogically structured learning objects that meet a specified house style as designed by the Instructional Designer(s);

  • Develop and Illustrate Posters and Fliers to support SPF and Multiply Delivery;

  • Enhance resources graphically in order to create learning resources that inspire learning;

  • Support in the development of interactive assessment tools that provide formative feedback in order to motivate learning;

  • Ensure that appropriate time keeping evidence and systems are in place as required for inspection and external project auditing;

  • Work with all other SPF staff to create a welcoming, purposeful atmosphere that encourages open and flexible learning;

  • Attend regular team meetings and other relevant college meetings as required and participate in the general business life of the college;

  • Participate in the college's appraisal scheme and undertake appropriate staff development activities. Work with the ELearning Development Manager to identify own training needs and undertake training as appropriate;

  • Work with External Printers and Venues to ensure marketing materials are delivered in good time;

  • Carry out any other duties as directed by the Principal/Chief Executive commensurate with the grade of the post at the initial place of work or other locations within the College.

    IT Qualification minimum to Level 2

  • Excellent Customer Care Skills

  • Proven competence in a range of IT systems/packages

  • Experience of working in partnership with external agencies

  • Excellent communicator with diplomacy and tact

  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

  • Ability to work harmoniously with senior colleagues

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

  • Good presentational skills

  • Ability to display confidence and establish positive relationships
