Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a full-time (37.5 hours per week) permanent B2 Administration Assistant to join our Specialist Services. This post is to cover front-facing reception duties at the Brookside Centre, Wigton to provide a range of administrative duties for the clinic site. It offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of services across North Cumbria.
As the role is primarily front-facing high-level customer service skills both in person and by telephone are crucial to the success of this role.
This post could provide an ideal development opportunity for those wishing to begin their career with the NHS and want to learn further administrative skills. This post will provide training and development opportunities.
Full support with be provided by the team of administrators based on site.
Please note there may be occasions when you are requested to travel to one of our other North Cumbria bases to provide support and/or cover for absent colleagues.

+ Experience of front-facing reception duties.
+ Experience of call handling in a busy environment - It is critical that excellent customer service is delivered in person or over the telephone.
+ Good organisational skills.
+ Be able to prioritise a fluctuating workload.
+ Proven experience of working with Microsoft Office packages.
+ Diary management skills
+ To meet the mobility requirements for this role as outlined in the job overview.
+ Provides agreed levels of support to the service to maintain cover in the absence of other administrative staff.
+ Desirable: A working knowledge of electronic patient record systems (i.e. RiO)
